AASRAA TRUST Major Activities and Achivements

Providing vocational training, Textile Printing, to 17 trainees with the help of Joyn India. 7 trainees have already got employment and earning Rs.6000/month, earlier these trainees were involved in Begging and Rag Picking. Our ‘Wings of Doon’ is facilitating around 200 under privileged students in their studies; one can see the difference in their academic performance as well as behavior, confidence and participation in different activities. Started 2 small night shelters for some of its most vulnerable. We are the first organization working with street children to get accreditation from National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) as a study and exam centre for two age groups, 6+ & 14+. We started an Anti Begging Program for children in January 2014 with Childline Dehradun & District administration. Daily 45-65 children attend the program.
