AchieveMents: Cultural Campaign a progresive cultural unit of khowai was founded on the 18th January 1980.In this thertytwo years of life of the organization, it has staged about 80 nos of Darama in total.It was founded with the motto to stage Drama and gradually expanded its brunches in nthe fild of Artand recitation and starts school for learning of Drawaing recitation among the childrens. In the fild of Drama the organization gradually hold a plase in the North-East region of the country. It has afame in the North-East region of the country and is famailier to the people of this part.Since 1981 the organization has been organizing a Drama commpittition namely “Shekhar Memorial One Act Drama Competition “ in the meomory of late Shekhar Bhattacharjee one of the founder member of the organization. At first it was started as state level and gradually it is converted into North-East regional. Teams from the states of the N.E. region take part in this competition and the teams from other states of the country and also from our neighbouring country Nepal and Bangladesh has participaited in this programe.In the year 2005 we celebrated The Silver Jubilee year of said competition with a great pomp. Cultural Campaign has make tour to West Bengal, Andhrapradesh,Assam and Our neighbouring country Bangladesh with the Drama “Sada Payrar Jannya” ,”Debona Titun”, “ Abalamban”, “Aarek Long March” & “ Court Martial” drama production of the organization staged sevarel time over there. Till today the number of production the organization is as follows :- Full length Drama - 20 nos. One- Act Drama -29 nos, Street Drama -07 nos, Dance Drama- 05 nos, Child Drama -19 nos. It is to be mantion here that among these 26 nos are Local scrept and the writers are Chandan Sengupta, Kamal Roy Choudhury, Sanjoy Kar, Dulal Oriya, Paresh Sutradhar, Ashim Roy, Indhumadhab Chokraborty, Ganesh Debroy & Arun Paul.Cultural Campaign had been organised Drama Work-shop in sevarel time at khowai. Mr. H. Kanhaia Lal(Manipur),Mr. Debesh Choudhury,Mr. Nikhil Das,Mr. Bijoy Bhattacharya(W.B), Mr. Bamapada Mukharjee,Dr.Jaladhar Mallik,Mr. Hirendra Shinha,Mr. Saruj Choudhury(Tripura) was present in the Work-shop as Trainer cum Teacher. Last year we organised a child Drama work shop with the help of The National School of Drama, Delhi.
