And from then, the team started to organize the women and facilitate them to form SELF HELP GROUPs. Now, the organization works with 500 women leaded SHGs for poverty eradication programme through Micro-finance, training for the capacity building and awareness generation activities. the organisationbelieves in local resources mobilization and its optimumuses for community development. the organisation has been emerged as one of leading Micro-finance institutes under Micro Sate Branch of Indian Bank.DBIS is now works in three district of West Bengal. It has been manned by a team of dedicated and professional to fulfill the objectives. The organisation has completed its 06 years of its service to the poor, under privileged people in three district of West Bengal. The organisation has given more concentration on the livelihood and economic development & women empowerment for poor and integrated child welfare programme. The target of the organisationis to work with 25000 poor families by 2015 for their over all development. The organisation believes that without economic stability, the question of justice, dignity, sovereignty and equality is unrealistic to the poor in our society. on the other hand, until or unless the women are empowered, or are not taking part in the decision making process in the family, the children who are the backbone of our society will not get spaces for their age appropriate growth & development. Keeping all the factors in mind, the organisation started Micro-finance through women leaded SHGs as an instrument for poverty alleviation.
