AchieveMents: Dastak is a group that is committed to the cause of theater, Punjabi culture and has been working relentlessly in the area since 1996. Through the theater and theater workshops our purpose is provide child literature to children, make up the loss of study of children and youngsters during the holidays due to hard work, increase number of self confident children and youngster in the society , creating culture awareness among the people for development of their personalties in every filed , make up inner filling of children and youngster , to creat book culture among the children and youngster, make younsteres and children aware of their language, culture, folk art, folk form and social responsibility also. For these purpose dastak has organized 17 children theater workshops in various schools and cities of Punjab which are as follws: In June July 1996 children theater workshop at jiwan jyoti pubic schook cheharta and khalsa public school amritsar. In 1997 (15th April to 15th May) month long workshop to crate a campaign to educate the public about harmful effects of congress grass.(Weed) In same year children theater wrokshops at khalsa school Nawan pind and khalsa sr. sec. school Amritsar. In 1998 children theater workshop at rashtriya bal shkhsha kender, Islamabad and jiwan jyoti public school cheharta. In 1999 " Bal Geet workshop" and book release of " Chand mama chand mama" at jiwan jyoti public school, cheharta. In 2000 children theater workshop at Shri Guru Hargobind Girls High School Cheharata In 2001,02,03,04 and 05 dastak organized regular month long theater workshop at jiwan jyoti public school cheharata. One thousand and fifty five books in dastaks library for children and yougsters. Published one poem book for children named " Chand mama Chand mama" written by Dr Santokh Singh sharyar. Seprately organized five theater workship for yougnster in various colleges and cities which are as follows. In 2006 (June-July)45 days workshop named" Explore your self at Khalsa college amritsar. 45 participants from all over the punjab. In 2007 (May June)35 days theater workshop named " Empowrment of Women" at S.R. Govt , College for women, Asr. In order to preserve Punjabi culture and literature we have done three state level theater workshop in collaboration with National School Of Drama, New Delhi that are as fallows: In 2008 (June July)45 day theater workshop in collaboration with NSD, New Delhi named " Allrah Ballrah " based on traditional Punjabi folk story teller (Punjabi Kavisher)at Police DAV Public School, Asr.Workshop inaugurated and culminated by Dr. Atamjeet. In 2009 (June July)45 day theater workshop in collaboration with NSD , New Delhi based on Punjabi Bhand- Marasi at Lovely Professional University, Jallandhar. In 2010 (July Aug) 35 days theater workshop in collaboration with NSD, New Delhi based on Shiv Kumar Batalvi (Life and Work)at Doaba College, Jalandhar. Workshop inaugruated by Dr Surjeet Patar and culminated by Mr. Dinesh Khana. We have done 12 productions 4 for children and 8 for youngster . Dastak has also performed at various national and inter national level festival Some of their major productions are " Isho Su Jag Da Mool " performed in BRM 2009 at LTG, new Delhi. " Wehan Paye Dariya" Performed in Nehru Centre Theatre Festival Mubabi 2009, Agadh Akhara, Uppat Saddran, Baby, Cosmonaut, Mondo. Over the year it has traveled with its production to all over the India
