AchieveMents: HASS is a non-political, non-sectarian, non-governmental organization registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI 1860 based at State Punjab primarily engaged in health , education ,Environment , youth affairs, child labor, women empowerment and community empowerment. "HASS” stands for `Health Awareness and Suvdha Society `. The word "HASS" has been taken from our Punjabi language and primarily means ` To be happy and to promote happiness`. Some major projects which are based on the philosophy of "HASS" cover Health Awareness of masses, Protection and Education of Children/ youth , Woman empowerment, Saving of Environment, Welfare of the elderly and Community Development. Initially, "HASS" was incorporated in April 2010 at grassroots level. As of now, it is operative in entire District, among the rural as well as urban segments of population. Besides, organization has started different projects which are operational and maintained from within its own resources. It started with 6 Projects initially in 6 villages Bahadur garh, Punjabi University, Ghanour, Kauli, Noorkherian and Baran in Patiala district. The organisation hopes to involve surrounding communities to work, philanthropic activities, awareness camps like HIV/AIDS, TB, and Drugs, Health Awareness and medical check-up camps in slum, Blood Donation, Eye Donation and Environmental awareness. Apart from the awareness camps this organization also observed various days like World HIV/AIDS Day, international Women day, TB Day. “HASS” is active in entire Patiala district with the collaboration of youth clubs, Mahila Mandals, PIRs, Students and Govt. Department. In overall developmental process the organization believes in playing the role of a facilitator. The Organization is headed by the professionals in the field of Social work and has engaged competent human capital base. The organisation undertakes need based project interventions
