AchieveMents: The Holy Lord Education Society was established in the year 2003. The founder of this holy organization decided to bring some active and effective changes in the society and this could be brought out only through people empowerment and involvement in all most all social activities which progresses towards a leading civilized society. The founder member aspired for a classless, casteless, sustainable society and dignified life for all. Only through the involvement of competent and committed individuals all the dreams could be cherished successfully. Such a hope and faith are certainly necessary but Holy Lord Education Society also recognize that such hopes have to be backed by clear plans and activities. Accordingly for the last 4 years Holy Lord Education Society along with the people of 28 villages of Sadar Block of Puri district and 10 villages of Brahmagiri Block of Puri District has been initiating a range of activities which have sought to give meaning and substance to the hopes and aspirations of the local folk as well as also tried to meaningfully relate to the plans and projects of the local institutions and agencies. Holy Lord Education Society (HLES) is a non-government organization working in Puri district especially for the development of children, women and farmer. Because of this kind of motto and honest attitude and noble activities it was registered under the Registration of Societies Act. 1860 in September of 2004. Development thy name is Holy Lord Education Society. Holy Lord Education Society is broad in its name. Education here does not mean the education of literary only. It believes in the overall education that we find out in a society. Particularly it believes in sheer development, definite habilitation and regular evolution. The objective of Holy Lord Education Society is to promote throughout Orissa all aspects of education and in particular to establish and promote educational institutions of various kinds. To realize such a vision HLES has adopted a two fold strategy. • The first one to be involved in crucial social issue such as women empowerment, formation of village development plans, organic farming for sustainable development of agriculture and agricultural habit. • The second is to strengthen the educational base of the locality both in urban and village area. The education has broad meaning which is for all age group by establishing school, college, women training programme, training for village farmer. Besides this HLES has taken some noble steps –  Encourage women’s education by establishing special institutions like hostel, widow’s home etc.  Establish hostels for poor boys and girls and to open and run orphanages.  Co-operate with government, other societies, institutions and bodies for the purpose of promoting the cause of education and spread of knowledge and culture for human development and social change.  Establish institution for welfare of aged, drug abused, destitute and socially backward class such as SC, ST and OBC.  Establish institution for the welfare of the persons with disabilities.  Start subsidiary institutions such as mobile medical unit, Health Service Institutions and promote preventive health care system.  Empower women by formation and strengthening of local groups and institutions. The operational area of the organization consists of 28 villages of Puri Sadar Block of Puri district and 10 villages of Brahmagiri Block of Puri District. In addition to this the society is also involved in various developmental interventions for the improvement of slum dwellers of Puri city. The main stakeholder of organization are the children, women, farmer and people of schedule caste and other backward categories.
