AchieveMents: Jabalpur Diocesan Social Service Society {JDSSS} is a NGO and the social work wing of the Diocese of Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. It was established in the year 1979 to carry out the social works in the diocese. The society was registered in the year 1993 under the “M.P. Society Registration Act 1973” {JJ-1441}. The operational area of the organization is in 6 districts of M.P i.e. Jabalpur, Mandla, Dindori, Seoni, Narsingpur and Katni. The VISION of our society is Building communities where all enjoy equal rights and opportunities and live in harmony with one another, Nature and the Divine. The MISSION of our Society is Empowering people, especially the vulnerable groups and communities, for sustainable development as well as for accessing rights and opportunities. The major activities of our Society are 1. Animation 2. Vocational Trg. For high school failed girls 3. Masonry training for youth 4. Skill development training for youth (driving, plumbing, electrician etc.) 5. Asha Kiran for HIV affected people 6. Watershed programme 7. Model Rural Agro Enterprise Development Programme 8. Resource in Use Project. 9. Child Focused Community Development Programme. 10. Environment & Forest. 11. Integrated Natural Resource Management 12. Promotion & strengthening of Co-operatives under this programme we formed more than 600 SHGs in different villages in our working areas. In the year of 1995 our Society was honored with a National Award, Indira Priyadarshini Vriksha Mitra Award for the works done in the field of Environment.
