AchieveMents: Jan Sewa Ashram is an NGO working on Socio- environmental issues. Jan Sewa Ashram was established in the year 1982. Jan Sewa Ashram took into consideration the problem of SWM in town very seriously and designed a package, under which First ever-microbial composting plant of Northern region, was established at Salogara near Solan ,(H.P.) to solve city waste problem by converting it into useful manure through environment friendly technology. Jan Sewa Ashram has been engaged in reestablishing the environment and is manufacturing Hand made paper and paper products since last 15 years. (a) Expertise available with the group: ï‚· Waste Paper recycling, ï‚· Waste plastic utilization ï‚· Environmental Education, ï‚· Solid Waste Management, ï‚· Vermicomposting (in large scale) ï‚· Aromatic oil Extraction, ï‚· Bio Coal (non conventional energy), ï‚· Training for promoting Micro-enterprise ï‚· Marketing of Eco-products, ï‚· Promotion of Micro-enterprise based on internal processing of locally available raw material. ï‚· Dissemination of Appropriate Technology ï‚· Health and sanitation programmes. ï‚· Eco-farming through bio-compost. ï‚· Integrated rural development ï‚· Encouraging appropriate practices for dairy farming.
