AchieveMents: Specialised education integrated with values awareness. Socio- economic upliftment through literacy outreach. Vocational courses and allied programmes. Equivalency programmes through the Open Learning System. Imparting of occupational and technical knowledge. Training and orientation courses for key resourses persons. Enviormental Awareness. Promoting National goals of secularism, equality and integration. Jss,Idukki has given vocational training to 2300 beneficieries on an average every year, since its inception in the year 2003.The courses are aimed at illiterates, neoliterates and people below the poverty line.The courses range from candle making to computer hardware.Placement oriented courses like welding,plumbing, exlectrician,nursing assistant,pharmacy assistant etc have complete placement.Production oriented courses for house wives and women in the tribal belt range from pappads, pickles, mushrooms bamboo weaving etc.A trade mark brand name,"janasree"has been registered to promote theproducts made by the beneficieries of JSS Idukki.Exhibitons have been conducted in association with the Ministry of Textiles,and stalls are regularly put up at various melas.Courses are conducted in association with MSME, TRIFED, Mininstry of Textiles etc.
