AchieveMents: Jan Shikshan Sansthan, Subarnapur (Institute of People’s Education), was established in Subarnapur during February 2009. It is sanctioned by the Ministry of HRD & Department of School Education & literacy, govt. of India. It is a registered Non Government Organisation, functioning in the entire district and is being managed by a Board of Management approved by the Govt. of India. The details of activities under taken are:  Promotion of Literacy  Vocational Skilled Education  Social Awareness  Life Enrichment Education  Coordination and Liaison  Lobby and Advocacy for Sustainable Income Generation Especially we are providing vocational training on leaf cup & plate making, phenyl & liquid soap, dress making & designing, embroidery appliqué, pickle making & food preservation, bee keeping, Agarbati, surf making, mushroom cultivation, candle making etc. In addition to the above courses, suitable other courses can be devised according to the needs of a specific area of target group. Life Enrichment Education programmes on Health, Nutrition, Sanitation, environmental Education, HIV / AIDS, Population and Development education, Women Empowerment, leadership quality, RCH, Mother and Child Care, First Aid, Communication, Consumer Awareness etc. being undertaken to improve the quality of life of the beneficiaries along with vocational training programmes. Achievements: As per the guidelines prescribed by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, we achieved up to the mark of our objectives.  We are able to improve the occupational skills and technical knowledge of the neo-literates and trainees able to raise their efficiency and increase productive ability.  We are provided training and orientation courses for key resource persons, master trainers on skill development programmes under the scheme of continuing education for neo-literates.  During the course of time we are already provide vocational training to 560 male and 1718 female trainers in 114 batches on different trades.  Able to make bank linkages to the groups.  Local communities have volunteered to provide rent free accommodation if required for training  Able to motivate the community to make best use of available resources.
