AchieveMents: RURAL RECONSTRUCTION ORGANISATION TIRUNELVELI ANNUAL REPORT 2008-2009 Introduction Rural Reconstruction Organisation (RRO) is a registered voluntary organisation serving the poor and marginalized people of seven blocks in Tirunelveli district in Tamil nadu state in India RRO was established in 1994 with North Ariyanayakipuram as base and took active part in all welfare measures of this area. RRO stands for holistic empowerment of women – who are catalyst for socio economic changes. RRO had under took various development activities such as Sangam formation, basic amenities issues, Old age pension, Bank Credits, Land Patta (title deed) for poor and right based activities for the exploited people. RRO has five member board out of which four are women. RRO has 12 member advisory committee and an auditor and a Development Consultant Activities This year has witnessed many new activities which are far reaching effects on our target people .The following are some of the programmes to mention the depth of our service impact. 1. Group formation activities 2. Federation and Network formation. 3. Training & Development programs. 4. Income generation programs. 5 AIDS prevention activities 5. Free Legal Aid programs 6. Education programs 7. Panchayat Raj Advocacy programs 8. National Environment Awareness Campaign (NAEC ) 9. Free Note books distribution
