SHREE SUBRAHMANYA ARSHA VIDYA PARISHAD Major Activities and Achivements

Activities: 1. Conduct of daily classes in Nyaya Shastra culminating in Vidvat Pravar. The course includes the teaching of 22 standard works over a span of twelve semesters . Medium of teaching has been Sanskrit. 2. Conduct of daily classes in Mimamsa Shastra to culminating in Vidvat Pravar. The course includes the teaching of 11 standard works over a span of 12 semesters. Medium of teaching has been Sanskrit. 3. Conduct of monthly Vakyartha Sabha where presentations and talks on topics related to Nyaya and Mimamsa are given and discussions on the same. The debates are conducted in Sanskrit. 4. Conduct of Mahavakyartha Sabha at an All India Level thrice so far (2002, 2005, 2008). All the presentations are conducted in Sanskrit. 5. Collaborative projects like special lectures and expositions on ancient texts in the traditional sciences. More than 30 invited lectures have been given by the staff and students of the Parishad at leading Universities, colleges and institutions. 6. Formal degree acquisition thru distance program and other means Two students from the Parishad have completed MA degree from Rashtriya Sanskrit Samsthan and are currently pursuing research.
