Shrimad Rajchandra Gyan Ashram (SRGA) is a Non-Profit, Non-Political, Spiritual NGO dedicated towards dissemination of peace through its various socio-economic initiatives based on ‘Vitraag Vigyaan’ Spiritual Study. SRGA has undertaken socio-economic development of the most backward and undeveloped areas in and around Parli (Sudhagadh District) in the fields of Education, Public Health, Environment protection and Women Empowerment. It has started the first English Medium Pre-Primary School in that area that covers population in 22 km radius. Weekend Primary and Secondary school is conducted for personality development training, with a focus to eliminate child labour. MITCON affiliated Certificate and Diploma courses in Computers are offered by the Trust provide youth with alternative employment opportunities. There was a lack of even basic Primary Health Care Centres, and the closest Hospital is about 100 kms away from the villages. SRGA conducts regular Medical checkup and Screening camps and facilitates treatment in Mumbai for villagers requiring surgeries or advanced investigations. With regular follow-up & personal interaction with every family, the ignorance about health care has gone down significantly, witnessed with increased inflow in every Camp. SRGA has taken up Infrastructure and Socio-Economic Development in the area like Borewell and Water Filtration Plant for villagers, Tree Plantation, Rain Water Harvesting, Farming Opportunities for landless farmers, etc. SRGA has also undertaken the Economic Empowerment of Less-privileged Women through its NGO Shramik Naari Sangh (SaNiSa). It develops the untapped craft skill of women and has set up the first ever Vocational Training Centre at Parli. SaNiSa provides a platform for employment opportunities for needy women in its food product and handicraft manufacturing activities. Apart from physical well-being, Spiritual Discourses and Interactive sessions based on philosophy of Vitraag Vigyaan are conducted in various parts of the world. “Essence of Life” Study Modules are conducted at the Nalanda Centre, Times Foundation. Vitraag Vigyaan study respects all beliefs and embraces all philosophies, yet breaks through limiting beliefs and ideologies. The Founder and Guiding Vision of SRGA is Shri Pravinbhai Mehta (fondly known as Param Pujya Pappaji). With his profound Spiritual Knowledge, radical thinking and in-depth compassion, Pappaji has inspired multitudes since last 3 decades. SRGA provides a secular platform to people from all age groups and walks of life, who aspire to experience enlightened living.
