“Society for Human Ability and Right Endeavour” (SHARE) was formed by a team of Rural Development professionals (XISS Alumnae) with its commitment “Improvement in livelihoods of deprived men and women with special focus towards SC, ST & women masses. SHARE is committed to extend the poverty eradication program jointly with GO / NGO and other private & corporate sector by enhancing in capacity building, participatory planning and monitoring along with other poverty alleviation program among downtrodden people . SHARE, with its participatory approach is operating in different district of Jharkhand, Bihar & West Bengal Viz; Ranchi, Khunti, Hazaribagh, Chatra, Latehar , Lohardaga, Dhanbad, Patna, Bihar Sharif, Purulia, Murshidabad & Bankura with its head office at Ranchi. At present total strength of regular & contractual staff have 10 professional and 25 trained people at field level for implementation of different programmes. SHARE always tried to maintain gender balance and it has engaged about 38% of female to contribute towards improvement in livelihood of poor ST / SC & women with holistic approach. The organization believes to extend its support for Institution development as it is counted the pillars for livelihood improvement. For sustainable improvement in livelihood SHARE has been endeavoring to develop and empowering local human resources so that, with enhanced skills and capacity, they can access the benefits and services from different agencies on sustainable basis. SHARE has utilized its expertise to enhance capacity of community mainly in the field of Health and income generation activity and made effort to develop them as entrepreneur. In addition, SHARE has also stepped towards enhancing the capacity of development workers of various NGOs of Jharkhand for Participatory Rural Appraisal, Micro plan development, Participatory monitoring. Agriculture is being considered as prime occupation of the rural dwellers, so keeping the need of the farmers to make intervention for crop development, short duration upland paddy variety has been introduced. In order to get effective reflection in the field of livelihood improvement, SHARE has developed partnership primarily with CARE, SIDBI, NABARD, EDII, UNICEF, CARITAS-INDIA and Ministry of Environment, GOI., Welfare Department, ESSAR Power Jharkhand Ltd., SEVA Foundation-Netherlands, and Bangor University-UK. Etc. “SHARE” is implementing Health related projects in collaboration with CARE India, Promotion of Rural Industries programme in collaboration with SIDBI and also exploring the possibilities to utilize the expertise in implementation of different livelihood oriented activities.
