AchieveMents: Located in a three and half acre campus in Punjabi Bagh West Delhi SSMI is a secular non profit organisation whose main objective is to empower women and children to realise their potential with dignity SSMI has nine units Balwadi with 100 children from low income families MCD aided primary school with 500 children Govt aided secondary school with 500 children Sanjay Deepak Center for the education of the under-privilaged child The center works on the consequnces of deprivation socio psychological problems leading to under performance and behavioural problems Balwadi teachers training and setting up Balwadies in slums Improving quality of education through alternative pedagogy and training of teachers and administrators Varalakshmi Center for Womens empowerment The center runs a supplementary nutrition programme under ICDS in Jehangirpuri Delhi and MId Day meals in Chandigarh based on self help groups of women from low income families EDP for women from low income families to enable them to set up micro enterprises Fine arts and computer centers are the other units
