Major Activities and Achivements

1. Capacity Building of NGOs – This has been one of the key roles of ARAVALI since its inception. ARAVALI currently works with a group of 40 NGO partners spread over the state. 2. Setting up the Family Livelihoods Resource Centres – This is one of ARAVALI’s key initiatives which assist NGOs to target and work with 500 poorest families in their areas of operation. 3. Human Resource support to NGOs – ARAVALI provides human resource support to NGOs in a Fellowship mode. 4. Supporting Livelihoods Development through Community based Approaches - ARAVALI provides accompaniment to partner NGOs to implement community-based microfinance and livelihoods promotion initiatives (including innovations). 5. Health - ARAVALI has developed a unique Curriculum on "Essential Learning on Health" for field practitioners in the Health Sector. We are also mentoring Community Health Fellows under the National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC) initiative. 6. Forging and Promoting Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships - ARAVALI works closely with a wide range of development stakeholders - GOs, NGOs, Private Companies - and promotes their partnerships for sustainable improvements in Quality of Life of rural communities. 7. Decentralised Planning - ARAVALI led the development and implementation of decentralised planning under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana in Rajasthan; we are not actively working on establishing decentralised planning processes under flagship Government programmes like NREGA and in sectors like health.
