* EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES/ ACHIEVEMENTS • Running Open School Study Centre for Secondary and Higher Secondary level students of West Bengal State Council of Rabindra Open Schooling from the year 2004. • 50 Non-Formal Education (NFE) centres sponsored by the Department of Mass Education Extension, Government of West Bengal organised. • Running a Reading cum Library named BOIDYUTI JANA GRANTHAGAR • Observance of World Literacy Day, World Health Day, World Environment Day, World Population Day, Forest week etc. as part of Awareness programmes. • Organised Educational Tours for Girl Students under Sarva Siksha Mission. • Assistance to Educational Institutions/ poor meritorious students (Formal / Non-Formal). * HEALTH RELATED ACTIVITIES/ ACHIEVEMENTS • Ambulance services for poor patients from two BPHCs under GO/ NGO partnership. • Safe Drinking Water for 600 families and experimental low cost Safe Drinking Water supply scheme for the poor. • Total Sanitation Campaign sponsored by the UNICEF and installed about 5000 low-cost Family Latrines for the poor. • Organisation of Health Camps. • RCH – II Project activities implemented for last three years giving major emphasis on Mother and Child Health Care. • Health services for children, female & others Uma Chatterjee Memorial Charitable Health Centre by specialists. * SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITIES/ ACHIEVEMENTS • Formed & nurturing 130 Self Help Groups under SGSY scheme. • Income Generation Programmes for Women. • Aforestation. • Environmental Awareness Programmes
