Bharatiya Samagana Sabha is a confluence of music enthusiasts and connoisseurs of classical music, who have a deep commitment to nurture and sustain interest in classical music. Thus far the organisation has organised two music festivals, one memorial concert and a music quiz since 2009. The maiden music festival spanned over two days the 13th and 14th of January,2010. Seven illustrious concerts were held during the two days. The high point of the festival was a Goshti Gayana of the Pancharatna Kritis by over 50 artists from Karnataka. This program was telecast live by Doordarshan Chandana. The response to the inaugural music festival was overwhelming. The Sabha is committed to innovation and creating and sustaining quality in all its activities, with is in focus the second music three day festival was organised between 4th and 6th of February,2011.This featured renowned Carnatic musicians and presented a unique ensemble of 25 violinists NADA TARANGA rendering Pancharatna Kritis. A national award for brilliant contributions to classical music has also been instituted. This award is presented to a musician or musicologist who has contributed immensely to classical music. A tribute to immortal voice of Hindustani music Bharat Ratna Pt.Bhimsen Joshi was presented with two concerts on the 1st of October,2011. A note worthy feature was the featuring of a thirteen year old child prodigy in the program. An interactive classical music quiz which is more an exercise in creating awareness about classical music than a competition.
