This CAMEL NGO charity is working on Key Issues of Art & Culture, Children, Disaster Management, Dalit Upliftment, Drinking Water, Education & Literacy, Health & Family Welfare, HIV/AIDS, Housing, Human Rights, Legal Awareness & Aid, Labour & Employment, Land Resources, Micro Finance (SHGs), Right to Information & Advocacy, Rural Development & Poverty Alleviation, Tribal Affairs, Vocational Training, Water Resources, Women's Development & Empowerment, Youth Affairs

Major Activities and Achivements

Housing: 100 houses to Dalith 24 to Yanadi tribals with child friendly and Disaster resistance features constructed. Constructed 4 additional school rooms 5 community Halls repaired two cyclone shelters 378 new enrolment of children in schools. Residential Bridge Schools and Non residential Bridge school operated 217 children re-enrolled in schools, 620 pairs school uniform supported to school children. Library Books; school furniture; playing kits to children supplied. Joyful learning trainings extended to Teachers, ICDS workers. Tuition centers arranged since 2005.child Rights club formed covering 1670 children, child protection committee arranged. Parent Teacher Association formed. Water: Reclamation of water Ponds. Livelihood: 32 fishing country boats, 888kgs fishing net 48 Cold storage Boxes distributed to 300 fishing. Rs.800.000/- livelihood support for fish vending women, agriculture women; Daliths & Yanadi tribal women. Disaster preparedness through campaign for registration of fishing booting Pulicat Lake with 2500 signature campaign. Backyard Hatchery for shrimp and ranching in Pulicat Lake Dry fish trade Enterprising arranged for fisher women. Vocational training in Zardosi to Adolescent girls and Electrical House wiring extended to youth. Empowerment and development of Daliths and Yanadi Tribals activated in 47 villages through establishment of village Sanghams and formation of SHGs and encouragement of thrifts. 54 Housing foundations constructed; 70 proposed. Promoted Mahila Mutually Aided Cooperative thrift society for federation of SHGs and got it registered under MACTS ACT with independent functioning having 12000 women members in 700 of SHGs with 10 Crores Micro credit Turnover.
