Major Activities and Achivements
We have already established contacts with a number of institutions engaged in the development programs of the skilled as well as unskilled workers such as Khadi and Village industries unit, Kerala Artisan Development Corporation, Handi crafts development corporation, Kerala labour and employment institute and other private sector village industries and institutions, We have recently completed a project study on the problems of unemployment among the gold and silver workers in Kerala for the labour and employment Training institute, Govt. of Kerala, MSME Mission, We have been a consultant to the Kerala Artisan Development corporation for project study on the Skill development of the Artisan in their vocations. Some other studies and training programmes under our purview are those concerns with the improvement of the skill and working conditions of the traditional artisans in the state so as to make their products commercially competent and gain market sustainability. We are already associated with some private technical institutes with necessary equipment for imparting training to such groups. We are looking ahead for the guidance and financial assistance from the Governments and Private Agencies to build up our infrastructure and develop the training program for the benefit of the skilled as well as unskilled people in the state so as to make them better enterprenurs in their traditional vocation and thereby their development. The centre is also engaged in publication of Traditional Artisans works of Art and Technical and Scientific contributions which mostly remain unearthed yet. The works need support and guidance as well as continuing research in the fields of their works of arts and culture which are still intimate to our countries development. We also engaged in women and child program and other social service projects.
