Major Activities and Achivements

Crescent Foundation (CF) was established in 2005 and it has so far has been conducting health camps in rural areas, where free check-ups and distribution of medicines are arranged. Many practising doctors devote voluntary services and their time to the organisation every month, so the patients who are otherwise unable to avail healthcare services may benefit. It was also felt by the trustees that the students from rural areas were unable to meet the challenge of finding any decent job in a city, without proper training on computers. CF arranged for such training as well as assisted them in finding jobs. It also helped them in acquiring some basic knowledge of English. In education sector the trust has been conducting various scholarships and arranging other programs for students from weaker section of the society. CF has provided free of cost vocational training to 75-100 students every year for the last three years. Most of the students were from Dalit or minorities and hailed from rural backgrounds. The major activities that have been conducted by CF were mainly limited to three sectors namely Education and Literacy, Vocational Training and Health and Family Welfare. The reason being the limited resources on which we had to operate and also the given competence and advantage we had over others in these areas.
