AchieveMents: To improve occuptional skill development & Technical knowledge to neo literates, to provide academic & technical resources support to Zilla Sakakshartha Samittees to taking up skill development programmes, to serve nodal continuing education centers & coordinate, superwise & monitor 10-15 continuing education centers/nodal centers, to organise training & orientation courses for key resource persons, master trainers & designing development & implementation of skill development programmes under the scheme of continuing education for neo literates, to organise equivalency programmes through Open Learning System, To widden the range of knowledge & understanding of the social, economic & political systems in order to create a critical awareness about the environment. to promote national goals such as secularism, national integration, population & conservation of environment, Identify appropriate target areas & target groups by developing socio-economic profiles, Identify & procure the list of neo-literates from Zilla Sakshartha Samittees & encure atlist 25% of the clintele of JSS in neo-literates, Orgaize training programmes for key resource persons, master trainers & trainees in vocational courses & for neo literates, Identify & ascertain a varity of educational & vocational needs of different categories of clintle groups, Plan & organise poly valent educational programmes & other activities including literacy, post literacy & continuing education of suite the learning requirement of target groups, Exlpore innovate work out alternatives try new methodologies to meet needs of different target groups through programmes of education & training, To cooperate with educational, cultural & other social organizations involved in organising programmes & activities to meet educational, vocational social, cultural & welfare needs of target groops, Act as a coordinator, facilitator & catalytic agent by developing a system of networking in collaboration with other educational & technical institions, development departments welfare agencies, employers & workers organisation, voluntary agencies, economic enterprises, Undertake training & implementation of resource persons/instructors involved in planning & implementation of various programmes, Organise equivalency programmes through Open Learning Systems, Organise Library & reading rooms facilities. The Libraries will have literature suitable for neo literates & sale counters for distribution of Literacy material subsidised rates to the neo literates & other interested readers, Provide consultancy services to agencies a& enterprises planning to organise programmes for training & educations for similar target groups, Organise educational & vocational training programmes with special concern for deprived sections, women/girls, unemployment youths to provide new skills, refine/up grade the existing skill leading to employment, self employment & income generation, Promote organisation of forums such as co operative societies, mandals & associations of women, youths & workers with a view to undertake collective activity for socio-economic development, provide follows up services to beneficiaries of the JSS.
