AchieveMents: Jayprabha Gram Vikas Mandal is a benevolent, secular, apolitical and non-profit philanthropic voluntary organization. It has come a long way in improving the quality of life of the people in general and socially and economically deprived section of rural society such as SC, ST, women and children in particular.
Jayprabha Gram Vikas Mandal is known for empowerment of women and panchayati Raj. Several workshops, seminars, orientation Camps have been organized and panchayat plans prepared by the organization for rural reconstruction and awareness building. By virtue of it sincere efforts, training and motivation, environment building panchayat election 2001 & 2006 were conducted free, fair and violence free, where JGVM had worked.
JGVM will follow the dual nature of intervention in the efforts of poverty alleviation and ensuring the social & economic entitlement. In one hand, it will promote the self help potential of the poor by organizing them in SHG as a lowest unit and further shaping & strengthening in to cluster federation. These groups would be more capacitated through functional literacy, training & exposure visit etc. Total no. of 1137 women SHGs have been formed by JGVM in which 928 groups have opened their account in different banks and 537 groups were financed also by different banks and financial institution .JGVM with the help of WDC, Bihar formed 785 women SHGs in Nauhatta, Kochas, Sasaram, Tilauthu, Rohtas, Chenari, Deenara and Surajpura block of dist Rohtas under Deep, Swawlamban & Swayamsidha project. Organisation had also worked for livelihood promotion, access to social security scheme launched by state & central govt. In Behia and Shahpur block of dist. Bhojpur, JGVM had formed total no. of 125 SHGs under SGSY. Similarly, JGVM had formed total no. of 141 groups in Bhagwanpur block of dist. Kaimur.
JGVM with support of WDC Bihar have formed federation of SHG in Kochas, Deenara, Surajpura and Sasaram block of dist. Rohtas. These 4 federations have got registered under Swawlambi Co-operative Society 1996. Similarly, on the same footing JGVM has also formed a federation of SHGs named ââ¬ÅGramin Swarojgarin Mahila Swawlambi Sahkari Samiti Limitedââ¬Â and got registered under Swawlambi Co-operative Society 1996 in Rohtas block of dist. Rohtas.
Community based organization such as Gram Swaraj Dal & Mahila Shanti Sena is the major achievement of the organization, working for restoration of peace. Women peace army works against drug addiction and violence, Empowerment of women Panchayati Raj Institution, gender sensitization, and pollution free society according to Gandhian principles. Our organization is also working for eradication of TB and Female Foeticide Organizationââ¬â¢s primary area of focus was Women Empowerment, Poverty alleviation, Violence free Society, Income generation, Pollution free Society, Stop Gender discrimination, Women Right and Dignity, New Panchayati Raj for the all round development of poor, needy & disadvantaged people with focus on Womenââ¬â¢s & their legal rights, Agriculture extension, Health education, Primary & Pre-Primary Education Awareness & Advocacy etc. Time to time our organization organized peace march. Main activity of the organization from last three years are Swaran Jayanti Gram Swarojgar Yojana , Swawlamban Project, Mukhya Mantri Nari Shakti Yozana, Swayamsidha Project, Deep Project , Women Empowerment , Panchayati Raj through Multipronged Initiatives Supported by MISEREOR, Germany , Water & Sanitation Programme, AIDS awareness & control programme, Behaviour Change Communication Programme, Packs Programme, ACSM Stop TB programme & Awareness against Female Foeticide programme
