Major Activities and Achivements

The Sabha covers an area of 35 Kilometers around Dhuri. It provides free milk, Dalia, Khichri, Bread and Medicines to the poor patients in Civil Hospital Dhuri. It has also installed electric fans, water coolers and generator and benches in the Civil Hospital Dhuri. Beside a blood testing machine has also been given to the hospital. It provides books, notebooks, sweater, jerseys, shoes and shocks to the poor students. Free coaching to poor and needy students of 10th and 12th classes is also imparted in the subjects of Mathematics, English, Science and Social Studies. Scholarships to poor and intelligent students pursuing Medical and Engineering courses in different Govt. Institutions in India are being given under the aegis of Foundation For Excellence in USA. About 120 students have already benefited from this scheme. In winter season blankets are distributed to sleeping beggars and sadhus. The Sabha has installed 20 water coolers and 10 cold water tankies around the city to provide cold drinking water throughout the year. Besides free drinking water service is provided on the Railway station Dhuri at all the plate forms. The Sabha organizes free Medical Camps-Eye Operation Camps, Dental Checkup Camps and General Checkup Camps throughout the year. The Sabha also distributes saplings of flower plants and different types of fruits and shady trees free of cost. It has also planted 2,87,700 trees around the area to make the green and beautiful and pollution free. The Sabha has given monetary help for marriage of 44 poor girls. The Sabha has donated 11 trucks of food, clothing and shoes to people effected by floods and earthquakes and monetary help to the tune of Rs. 5,96,000 to Kargil war effected people. The Sabha has established a sewing and tailoring center in the premises of the Sabha in which 320 girls has completed the course and are earning their lively hood. In this very premises a computer training institute is being operated since April 2012 in which training is given to the students in different computer courses including computer accountancy. About 400 students have so far completed their training and many of them have got employment. This Sabha provides wheat Atta to 50 poor families of the city at the rate of 20 Kg per family per month. This Sabha organizes Langars, Nature Cure Camps and Pulse Polio Camps with the help of Netar Bank Samiti Regd. Dhuri which is a sister organization. 70 Kg of food grains and plenty of water is provided daily to the birds in New Gowshala. The Sabha helped in adopting two orphan children by the needy parents of village Ladda after completing all legal formalities. We are operating three Gowshallas in which 1500 cows are being looked after. Our sister organization The Netar Bank Samiti is registered with Eye Bank Association Hyderabad and Punjab Govt. organizes every year cataract eye operation camps under the guidance of very capable and qualified eye surgeons and so far 25 such camps have been held, in every camp 200 to 300 operations are held. In November 2014, 229 cataract eye operations under FACO technique were done successfully. There has never been any complaint from any patient so far. The Netar Bank Samiti also gets eye donations from the people and these eyes are transplanted to the needy blind people free of cost. So far 216 blind people have seen the light of the day with their transplanted eyes.
