The report of the activities and achievement of “Abhiyan Samazik Sewa Evam Vikas Samiti Fatehpur UP” for the year 2008-09. Abhiyan Samazik sewa avam Vikas Samiti Fatehpur UP was established in 2002 and right since then the Samiti has been organizing. Its activities continuously for social welfare educational and cultural development of the people. During the year 2008-09 its activities and achievement have been as under:- Agriculture development- Organized camps & meetings in several villages of Fatehpur, Raibareily, Kanpur Dehat & Banda Districts and made the farmers well conversant with the modern scientific agriculture system and also in regard to use of chemical fertilizers and other essential chemical for safety against crop diseases to obtain maximum yield through agricultural specialized Mr. C.B. Singh and Mr. Uday Bhan Singh. The villagers were also encouraged to develop gardening and plantation especially of plants, which are useful in curing diseases and also use in Ayurvedic Medicines by samiti. Environmental Forest:- Through frequent visits to villages the villagers were made acquainted with the role of forest in purification of pollution and attracting rain and also in yielding woods are various kinds for use in house Building, Furniture, fuel and other wooden articles, which cannot be substituted by any other material. They were encouraged to increase the growth of forest by plantation of trees and plants yielding useful fruits. Health and Family Welfare Through frequent meetings and camps in city and rural areas the people were well educated with the proverb that ‘Health is wealth. If health is lost then everything is lost’ in sucn meetings and camps free health camps were organized exercised by Dr. DPS Tomer, Dr.Sushil Tripathi, Dr.Vimal Singh, Dr. Suresh Chandra and Dr. Anand Prakash Verma with advices to take care of health in routine life. They were also educated now to get rid of diseases through Homoeopath, Ayurvedic and Allopathic medicines. Also in the field of health sector, Samiti early launched “CHALO PRAKRATI KI OR” Program. Rural Development and Poverty Elimination In rural areas about 80% population depend on agriculture. Due to highly increased population the people have not sufficient agricultural land to meet their domestic expenses. In order to improve their condition and to eliminate poverty the villagers wers educated to obtain maximum possible yield from agriculture through modern scientism system and use of fertilizers and Chemicals by agricultural Specialists by organizing public meetings. Thy were also advised to extend mutual cooperation with each other to avoid hostility and litigation resulting in un-necessary expenses. Water Resources By organizing meetings in cities and villages the people were well educated with formulae that ‘Water is Life’ They were made acquainted with the Scheme of Central Government for elf water Resources for which the Govt. bears 90% of expenses itself and only 10% is to be borne by the candidates willing to avail this benefit. The people were encouraged to avail the benefit of this scheme and were also advised to be economical in use of water. People were also advised to make ‘DAMS’ and ‘TALABS’ for storage of water to maintain the underground water level. Women Development and Improvement By organizing Meetings of women in city and rural areas the women were well educated that their role in social life is very essential in management of domestic affairs and creation of future generation. They were advised to take care of their health and also to get themselves educated by getting together with educated women. They were also advised to take proper care of the children and to infuse moral, social and educational aptitudes in their minds.
