AchieveMents: Association for Development Initiative (ADI) begins its journey in 2003 as a national level non-profit developmental & professional institution strives for appropriate tools and technologies for effective utilization and management of resources for sustainable development. Since then, ADI has been achieved: 1. Organized more than 20 nos. of workshops, seminars and convention at national/state/district level on Public Private Partnership (PPP), Agriculture & Agro Processing, Bio–technology, Information Technology & ITES, Tourism, Handicrafts, Infrastructure, Energy & Power, Mineral & Mineral Based Industries, Panchayati Raj Institutions, Natural Resource Based Enterprises, Environmental & Social Challenges, Sustainable Management of NTFP, Women & Youth Entrepreneurship & Employment, Tribal Heritage, Disaster Mitigation ,Rural Development, etc. under the various Ministry/Department of State and Central Government, PSU of Govt. of India, and various National/International Organizations. 2. Conducted research study/evaluation supported by Ministry of Rural Development, GoI; National Commission for Women, GoI; Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, GoI; Women and Child Development, GoI; Ministry of Labour, GoI; etc in the states viz. Orissa, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Chhatishgarh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarkhand, J&K, Manipur, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerla on related to socio-economic, health, rural development, education, domestic violence, environment, coping mechanism, etc. 3. Set-up a Industrial Training Centres (ITC), i.e. Baitarani Industrial Training Centre (BITC) in the year of 2006 at Neuliposhi, Patna block of Keonjhar district, Orissa affiliated to NCVT, Govt of India. The institute/centre has covered 1.62 acre land including administrative, teaching and workshop blocks and presently offering technical training in two trades viz. Electrician and Fitter for unemployed youth belongs from schedule caste, schedule tribe, other backward classess and women headed household families with age of 14 - 35. 4. Formed more than 25 Women SHGs in Patna block of Keonjhar district of Orissa have been trained on processing of minor forest produce like honey, tamarind, and neem seeds amala, mahua flower and seeds ; and making of hand made paper, agarwati, candle, toys, jute crafts, etc. respectively and also arranged the institutional mechanisms between the community cooperatives and the local and national chambers of commerce & industry, industries and businesses, including national & state level governmental organizations like TRIFED, TDCC, NAFED and KVIC for marketing their products to get better price. 5. Created awareness with the support of Central and State Govt. among the household at residential level on Energy Conservation; Consumer Awareness; Legal Awareness; and organized Health Awareness Camp on HIV/AIDS, TB, Leprosy, RCH, RTI/STI, etc. around 2 thousand women and 5 hundred children belongs into slum cluster of Delhi have been provided medical check ups and immunization. Finally, Road Safety Campaign at school level covered around 20 thousand school children & staffs on safety measures and traffic rules; and Road Safety Training Programme covered around 1.5 thousand school bus staffs, blue line bus drivers and auto rickshaw drivers on traffic rules, vehicle care and management, handling of difficult and dangerous situations, handling driving emergencies, art of defensive driving, driver passenger relationships and the essentials on accident related first aid, etc.
