Major Activities and Achivements

NIFAA, the social, art and cultural based organization came into existence in September, 2000 to perform various welfare activities. At the elementary level it was set up as a non-governmental social organization and it was later on flagged up as the National Institute of Fine Arts Samiti. It was later renamed as the National Integrated Forum of Artists and Activists i.e. NIFAA. NIFAA has found its niche in conducting various awareness activities in preventing social ills such as female feticide and dowry prevention, has worked towards upliftment of weaker sections of the society, promotion of patriotic love and national integration, promotion of Indian folk arts and culture, environment safety programs, women empowerment and child welfare, adventure excursions and especially cultural based activities. NIFAA is well received by the community who enthusiastically participates in NIFFA’s programmes. NIFAA is classified under two wings i.e. artists wing and the second is activists’ wing. The former wing is engaged in promotion of Indian cultural activities and also coordinates with the artists of countries and sets a strong precedent to save the cultural heritage of India. The latter wing plays the role of an active agent in initiating development in the society. Our Programmes and Activities: Regular Service Volunteering Programmes: 1. Jashan-E-Azadi ( A patriotic programme to commemorate Independence day of India) 2. Lohri Beti Ke Nam ( A programme to use customs and rituals for the achievement of gender equality) 3. National Integration Camps 4. State level singing and dance competitions to promote budding artists of the country 5. Free Medical Checkup camps 6. Kirtan Darbar on social issues. 7. Programme on Birth and Death anniversaries of great Indian freedom fighters and other prominent figures 8. Blood Donation Camps Special Community Projects: 1. Regular Services in M.D.D. Bal Bhawan (Orphan House) 2. Financial assistance to poor patients suffering from major health problems 3. Camps in prisons for reformation of hard core criminals. 4. Free health checkup camps in slum areas. 5. Literacy Campaign in different villages 6. Various activities under MISSION-2010 7. Seminars and Street plays against global terrorism Overseas Projects: 1. Regular Cultural exchange programmes with Mauritius 2. Social exchange tour to Hiroshima Peace Memmorial 3. Participation in Community Development programme at Japan Volunteers Development Programme: 1. Theatre and music workshops for budding artists 2. National Integration Camps to promote national integration among youth 3. Volunteer training workshops NIFAA has played a pioneering role in providing voluntary services for calamities and events such as the Asian Tsunami, Global Terrorism i.e. the tragic incident of 9/11 WTC attack, and Bomb blasts on Attari Train, innocent war victims languishing in prisons of various countries. NIFAA constantly seeks to induct and mentor younger youths in the area of community service. AWARDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS OF NIFAA NIFAA is proud winner for National Youth Award (organisation category) of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India (organisation category) as a best youth organisation of India. The award was feliciated to NIFAA on 12th January 2008 at Chennai, Tamilinadu by the Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Sh. Mani Shankar Aiyar. It is also worth mentioning that NIFAA is the Ist organization from the Haryana State, which credited with this prestigious award. Honourable Chief Minister of Haryana, H.E. Governor of Haryana honoured NIFAA on different occasions for its remarkable contribution in social service, promotion of cultural heritage, literary activities in the function of Haryana Union of Journalists at Bhiwani. NIFAA chairman Pritpal Singh Pannu was jointly honoured by Sh. Phool Chand Mulana, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Haryana and Sh.
