PARTNERS FOR LAW IN DEVELOPMENT Key Issues and Operational Areas, Major Activiities & Achivements

Operational Districts: New Delhi

Operational States: DELHI

AchieveMents: PLD is a legal resource group committed to the realization of social justice and equality for all women. We believe that the attainment of women’s equality is integral to the pursuit of social justice; and rights are necessary means by which discrimination and marginalisation be challenged, and equality facilitated. As a legal resource group, law is a primary site of engagement for us. We believe that the pursuit of human rights and social transformation through the law are possible only when combined with mobilisation, rights education and empowerment carried out in collaboration with other social justice actors. Our work methods therefore involve partnerships and collaborations at the community, state, national and regional levels, combining diverse strengths to monitor, create knowledge and advocate for the realisation of social justice and women’s equality. Additionally, partnerships are also an effective means by which we develop capacities, leadership and a community of practice in the women’s rights sector.
