In the year 2009, International Forum for Creative Writers (IFCW) started journey under one government registered umbrella organization as a specialized organization for creative writers to the aim of organizing unrecognized writers from grass root level collecting their writings and published in its yearly anthology book ‘Moner Diary’ and organizing literary event every year on 11th January. From its very first literary event in 2009, IFCW started honoring prominent veteran writers in Bengali literature with “Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement SahityaBramha” award. It is the first ever lifetime achievement award for Bengali literature at any level. The First laureate was Mr. Shaktipada Rajguru in 2009 followed by Mr. Narayan Debnath in 2010. In 2011 it was presented to creative publisherDeb Sahitya Kutir. In the history of India at any level it was the first ever that any creative publisher honored with lifetime achievement award in literature. In the mid of the year 2011 the name of the organization changed to International Forum for journalists and Writers (IFJW) to the aim also of looking after some issues of journalists especially who are in unorganized sector as freelancer. In 2012 the “Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement SahityaBramha” laureate was Mrs. Mahasweta Devi and it was another historic moment on 11th January 2012, as the famous writer proclaimed the day as “International day for Journalists and Writers” to be observed every year. Thereafter to give a wider spectrum the organization start its journey as independent organization for the journalists and writers of all over the world and been named as “World Forum for Journalists and Writers”.
