Major Activities and Achivements

Abhaya was established 5 years back mainly for the empowerment of illiterate and semi-literate, rural and urban women of socially and economically backward classes. In the last 5 years we have conducted several programmes for their upliftment mainly through skill development in the areas of garment construction, food processing, jute product making, paper bag making, home needs product making etc. Several programs were conducted under the schemes such as Corporate social responsibility (CSR) and worked with assosciations such as ALEAP, NSIC and MSME. Abhaya is also working in association with Profashion Institute of Technology, Hyderabad which has conducted several courses for women in skill development under schemes such as Rajiv Udyoga Sri, MSME, CRR, and is a registered vocational training provider. Abhaya is for ever looking to expand it areas of activity and thus to aid a larger section of people who are underpriveleged.
