Anmol Education and Charitable Trust Key Issues and
Operational Areas, Major Activiities & Achivements
Operational Districts: Rajkot
Operational States: GUJARAT
AchieveMents: Our trust is dedicated to the welfare of women and children in particular, and we work for creating general awareness among women. We are getting government grant for our two multipurpose Women Welfare Centres at Rajkot and Gondal where we provide counselling services to needy women including women living in slums and villages.
We work with the women attached with SHOs of the area, by organizing training camps and make them aware of the problems related to their health and social maters. We provide need-based help to the women in the cases wherein they face the problems like female foeticide, dowry, domestic violence and other social problems prevailing in our society. While dealing with family disputes we generally try to arrive at a happy solution for both the parties concerned. In case of need, we provide legal assistance to the needy families.
We also get grants under Rajiv Gandhi National Creche Scheme, under which we provide nutritious food, primary medicines and education to the children of 0 to 5 years age at our day-care centre.
Since last three years we have extended the span of our activities and started providing services to HIV Control segment. Since 2013-2014 we are entrusted with providing services for AIDS Control under the program named ââ¬Å......ââ¬Â which is sponsored and funded by the government of Gujarat/India.
Working under this project, we organize HIV awareness camps regularly, wherein ââ¬Ëintegral personal communicationââ¬â¢ and ââ¬Ëbehaviour change communicationââ¬â¢ remain our prime objective. In our health camps, we communicate through personal meetings and with audio video means; such type of counselling helps us in our work of creating awareness about HIV in general and HIV testing and condom promotion activity in particular.
While working for HIV control, our first task is to decide about the target group. After that we put our every effort to reach each and every member of the said group, especially the groups of migrated labourers. We hardly miss any social events in the area under our command and the traditional mela and fair sites or the big wedding events. Once we mix up with the targeted group, they also try to come nearer to us. And then our real work of educating them about the controlling of the AIDS starts. The exact data about our meeting with the target groups during every year is communicated to the related authorities by way of regular reports.
Through our social activities, we try to provide help to the needy citizens of our country who live either in slums or in rural areas where they hardly get any proper counselling or help for solving their social problems in general and health problems in particular.
