Recognised for the commitment to accountability, innovation and collaboration; our work takes us into the heart of the communities, where we help the under privileged and marginalised families in making them self sustainable. SOME OF THE CHARITABLE WORK DONE BY AIM INDIA FOUNDATION Children Education Initiative There are children among our community, who do not attend schools during raining season, not because they do not want to attend, but because they do not have umbrella to protect them from the lashing rain and consequent sickness. The Foundation donated 341 umbrellas to those needy school-going children dwelling in the slum areas of Kolkata. Banga Bibhushan Sri Gautam Ghosh, eminent Film Director initiated the programme. Green India Initiative Aim India Foundation has taken initiative on plantation of 25000 mangrove trees in the remote area of Sundarban which was destroyed by Cyclone Aila. Road Safety Awareness Initiative Aim India Foundation arranged a programme for creating Traffic Awareness among the children as most of them commute in the densely populated and high vehicular traffic area. The Foundation is thankful to Sri S. K. Kushvaha, Project Director, Project Implementation Unit, Kolkata, National Highway Authority of India for gracing the occasion and giving educative and practical suggestions to the children.
