Operational Districts: Kolkata

Operational States: WEST BENGAL

AchieveMents: To provide a respite from the arduous life, the West Bengal Government came up with innovative social project for women- Muktir Alo (August 16 to April 17). Divine Script Society was entrusted with the task of training 12 women on making several products of daily use from recycled bicycle tyres and tubes. And also trained 13 women on Cafeteria Management. Today they are employed and living a dignified life. In this way Muktir Alo showed the marginalized women of West Bengal a new way of life.
