AchieveMents: Poor and Needy Women are the main target group of IRCED. IRCED received Rs.1 lakh Amodini award in the hands of famous Actress Shabana Azami for Women Empowerment. Presently IRCED is working with a vision to reach 2.50 lakh poor and needy women for their empowerment. We have major Five programmes as below ââ¬â
1. Housing and Sanitation Programme:
Housing and Sanitation programme has started in the year 2009 and still continued. IRCED provides financial services to the rural women for construction of new house, renovating existing house and toilet. It has constructed 400 houses and renovated 200 houses for better health and education.
IRCED is working with Zilla Parishad and helping the rural women for construction of Toilets under Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan. IRCED has helped to construct 700 toilets and planning to construct 5000 more for villages in Sangli and Satara district.
For this programme we have partnership with FINISH society, Habitat for Humanity, Swarn Pragati Housing Micro Finance, and State Bank of India.
2. SHG and JLG Linkage:
This is our another major programme through which we directly link the interested SHGs and JLGs to the concerned banks for their financial needs. These SHGs and JLGs come forward, speak with our field staff about their projects and thereafter specific groupââ¬â¢s proposal we prepare and submit to the concerned bank or organization for further actions. So we help these groups to meet their financial needs by this way too. We have linked 700 JLGs and 300 SHGs under this programme.
NABARD, State Bank of India, Corporation Bank and Bank of Maharashtra are our major partners for this programme.
3. Microfinance:
Under this programme IRCED provides financial services to women for income generation, emergency needs, dairy, solar energy and educational loan.
IRCED has disbursed Rs.21 crores till date to more than 10500 women and achieved 100% repayment. IRCED MF programme has 6 branches with 30000 women members. It is planning to have 20 more branches by Dec. 2014.
For the programme we have partnership with SIDBI, Corporation Bank, State Bank of India, and Yes Bank.
4. Livelihood Development:
IRCED tries its level best to improve the financial literacy between rural women through various activities. When a woman starts any livelihood activity for her own family. So we support this activity and motivate them to undertake useful livelihood. IRCED has helped more than 2000 women for their livelihood.
Indian Grameen Service (Lamp Fund) and Yes Bank are our major partners in this programme.
5. Capacity Building Programme:
Under this programme we conduct training on beauty parlour and fashion designing, Book keeping, Grameen bank activities, Mason and Animator training. We also provides micro insurance to the women groups.
IRCED has trained more than 3000 women in various skills for their capacity building.
We have good partnership for this programme with NABARD, Rabo Bank Foundation, SIDBI, FINISH, LIC and Oriental Insurance.
