AchieveMents: Lamstan:Lam means Path & stan means to show - Showing Path . Our Objectives: ââ¬ËLamstanââ¬â¢ will be providing necessary guidance to any individual regarding their career goals and provide a very exclusive opportunity to seek advice from experienced professionals. This step for a social cum career networking site is the outcome of various problems faced by students. This provides you all with a platform where you can seek as well as guide others to step towards their goal and provide society with highly qualified professionals concerned with cultural, economic and social development. Working Approach: The basic structure of Lamstan is to act as an effective platform for productive team work, benefiting society. Today what we see is only few students from very remote areas have succeeded to what they aspired to be in childhood. Lack of guidance, finance and social customs are obstructing their way towards a successful career. Lamstan will serve as a bridge between you and these people, together shaping their dreams into reality. Lamstan Values: Visionary Passionate Consistent Innovative Understanding Unity Responsible Lamstan Activities: Seminars and Workshops : Lamstan volunteers utilize their summer holidays to contribute to their native place in terms of education and career. -Presentation of career scopes on a wider converse digitally or manually. -Invite achievers and successful native people to inspire the students. -Carry out survey among students, parents and teachers regarding various issues. Speciality of Lamstan: Experts who are in particular career field will guide students interested in that field. Non Affiliation: Lamstan is not affiliated to any institution or organisation. We donââ¬â¢t have any hidden commission or interest. We are purely an organisation of students and professionals with genuine interest of societal wellbeing. Past Achievements: Seminars and Workshops 2011-2012: Kharu Block (Govt. Schools) The first seminar we did in govt. school in kharu block where many students from Changthang,Sakti, Chushul,Ego and other places came for sports meet. With the kind permission of Mr Lobzang Rigzin(ZEO), we demonstrated students through various charts prepared by our members as projectors are hardly available in any govt. school in Ladakh. Lamdon Model Sen. Sec. SchoolNext we scheduled our seminar at Lamdon School with kind permission of Mr EshayTundup (Principal). Very fortunately Mr. Tsewang Gyaltsan (Indian Forest Service) and Mrs. Padma Tsomo (Gold medallist in MA Buddhism in DU) accepted our invitation to interact with students. At the same time Stanzin Palkit(MBBS) and Stanzin Yangzes (MBBS ,PG) ex-students of lamdon were also present. Mahabodhi Residential School Interaction with students of Mahabodhi was very fruitful. They had more inclination towards spiritual world. Govt. Girls School As the women education and empowerment is very important. Comparing to rest of India, ladakhi girls are privileged in many ways. They do enjoy every freedom and have always proved their best in examinations. Govt. Boys School Students came up with wonderful questions, their concerns, their interests, & above all, the glimmer in their eyes to achieve something in life was indeed vibrant. Moravian Mission School Introducing in detail of various courses from medical, non-medical, commerce, to arts & also rendered moral education about the need of responsibility in this century. Seminars and Workshops 2013-2014: Lamdon Model Sen. Sec. School This year United World College students volunteered and made a real difference by pointing towards international curriculum apart from Indian curriculum. We witnessed more no. of students putting up their queries as compared to the previous year. This shows more awareness among the students and seriousness regarding their career perspectives. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya The Principal was very much cooperative and impressed with our team spirit to make a positive difference. He even insisted to programme a week long workshop next year. The 3 hours session was quite a productive one. Students raised many doubts and are still connecting with us through Facebook or e mail to clear their queries regarding the career goals and the field which would be best suited for them. Kendriya Vidyalaya Students from all over India were present. Those whose parents are in army and other central services. It was a healthy interactive session and if the bell had not rang at 4ââ¬â¢o clock, we would have continued it for hours. Seminars and Workshops 2015: Start up Gurgaon ,Delhi: Students from Sato (Durbuk block) residential school was brought up on an exposure tour where we fortunately got a chance to interact. The students belonged to classes 8th to 10th. They were shy and it took us quite a time to let them open. We (Lamstan volunteers) sang and danced with the kids which eventually made them interact with us and raised many questions regarding the career options. Seminars and Workshops 2015-2016: Lamstan Organised a Mega career event in july with more than 500 students from school all over ladakh. kee speakers were: Mr Tsering Tashi, Scientist,ISRO, Dr. Tsewang namgail,Show lepord trust, Major Sonam namgail, Mr Tsering tonyot, Manager Taj Hotel Maldives, Mr Dawa, Program manager RGYD. -Lamstan also worked on childersn education in remoter areas of ladakh.
