AchieveMents: Langmeidong Dramatic Union is a registered professional theatre group of rural Manipur, having 50 members, 13 regular professional artistes. Having own registered land and a temporary building of 350 audience capacity. Construction of a proper building has just completed with financial assistance from department of culture. Its main objectives are to promote and to propagate the theatre in the rural Manipur, to preserve the folk and ancient values of Manipuris, to work as a powerful media for mass education and to contribute in solving the social problems through theatre, to work for an integrated harmonious co-existence and social upliftment and to nurture new talents.
