AchieveMents: REDS was started in 1984 with a sangha model community organization, Adult Education, and Balwadis as entry points among men and women respectively. In 1986 drought relief work was taken up in three taluks. REDS works activity towards global warming mitigation at the national and international level. Installed 50,000 solar lamps replacing kerosene lamp in 11 districts of Karnataka. Registered CDM project with UNFCCC and the Gold Standard in 2011. 80percent untouchability removed in the district.
