SHEKINAH CHRISTIAN FOUNDATION Key Issues and Operational Areas, Major Activiities & Achivements

Operational Districts: Mon, Tuensang, Longleng, Kiphire

Operational States: NAGALAND

AchieveMents: The Organisation has been involved in social services pertaining to upliftment of women and youth, especially, the marginalised sections of the society. We have also been targetting the youth group by giving them career counselling and other such activities. It has been our priority to uplift the womenfolk especially in the rural areas of Tuensang and Mon, where we have been actively engaged in various activities by working together with the Eastern Nagaland Women Organisation (ENWO), which has also been playing proactive role in resolving conflict issues during tribal clashes in the remote areas of Eastern Nagaland. We also extend our contribution to the poor and needy villagers as and when required. Also, identify some poor students and help them financially and morally in their studies. The organisation is also currently working as a consultant NGO for North East Rural Livelihood Project(NERLP), funded by the World Bank. which has been to the poorest of the poor in the remotest parts of Nagaland. Through this Project, we have seen enormous changes amongst the SSG members formed under the aforementioned project. The organisation continues to work hand in hand with other active NGOs like the Eastern Nagaland Women Organisation (ENWO), and others who are committed to bring transformational changes through socio economic development and education.
