AchieveMents: HIV Prevalence fluctuates around 5% as has been found in the various Sentinel Surveillance which shows that it has not increased compared to the last Point Prevalence and has remained stagnant for the last few years.The usage of condom by Babus has increased to about 65% with the full fledged working of the sathi Sangathan, an organisation of the Babus.Referral to various Govt. ICTC and to Mamata Care and Treatment Centre(community based ICTC centre of DMSC),DOTs Centre has also increased. Sex workers are also referred to other NGO FOR treatment of general ailments.Monitoring formats have been prepared which could result in giving a clearer insight into the CMIS records.Almost each of the target community members has been contacted twice every month. Sextual health counselling has been catered to almost all target community members.Number of clinics actually held are over 90 percent. Various IEC materials,like CDs, books and flip charts, water bottles, have been developed and distrbuted as per the demand of target community and other stakeholders.Number of condoms sold have increased through peer educators and non-traditional outlets and also incrased the number of female condoms used.
