AchieveMents: The Gondwana Geological Society established in 1982 is a voluntary Society to promote scientific awareness about geoscience and research in India. The Society arranges lectures on science topics of national importance. Besides, the society publishes six monthly magazine titled "Journal of Geoscience Research", comprising various research papers. The Society organises seminars / workshops on topics of scientific importance to encourage publication of research findings and make it available to the geoscience community , in form of publication of special peer reviewed proceedings volume. The Society has till now has organised over ten national seminars viz. Gondwana Geology, Sedimentology, Precambrian Geology ,Energy resources, Ground water and lakes etc. The Society has published 15 special volumes on different geoscience topics.The Society has 675 life members from all over India.
