AchieveMents: Thutak Nunpuitu Team (TNT) has been undertaking rehabilitaion for the depressed class of society by maintaining a De-addiction Centre at Aizawl, Lunglei, Kolasib and Champhai; Orphange at Aizawl, Mental Home at Aizawl, Lunglei and Kolasib. Since TNT has firmly established its trustworthiness and good reputation in humanitarian activities for aconsiderable lenght of time, all sort of unwanted children like those of parents separated due to drug or alcohol abused, many street children are brought together by social activist and law enforcement and other NGO. These pitiable young souls need to teach everything, they need to know social manner and how to read and write. So, TNT established a residential school for them.
The school give opportunities not only for orphans but also for recovering addicts and some of them are now even school teachers. TNT strongly belives that co-carricular activities is a must for children, its implementing indoor and outdoor sport facilities; vocatioanal training namely computer class, music, art and culture, handicraft and tailoring, plumbing and electronics.There are some illiterate people especialy who came from neighboring states, Adult Eduction was opened for them.
Followings are the major achivement of the Society:
1. De-addiction Centre is the place where notorious people, dug addict and alcoholic were giving treatment. They are provided good care for healing their mental and body. They are guided and governed under good and strict rules and regulation. Till date over 27000 patients had been treated and morethan 5780 were recovered from their addiction.
2. The famous Pangpar Huan (Garden of Flowers) is a name of Mental Hom. Patient were given love and sincere care without alopathic medicines. A number of 8200 patient from all over north east states and Mayanmar were admitted and 2733 people received blessing to lead a total normal life.
3. Orphanage is one of the largest in the world, they are 414 orphanse today at the Home. Apart from academic education numerous co-carricular activities are implemented. Which resulted to recieved 36 National medals, 520 state medal and many trophies. Cultural troops and Pipe Band study class also make a good impresion among children. Till today there are 1039 orphans have been looked after and many of them have a prosperous and content life.
