AchieveMents: Vimala Welfare Centre is the pioneeing institute in the country for banana fibre handicrafts.With the collaboration of Khadi Commission and Khadi board we conducted 2nd grade training programmes from 1966 to 1996. Through these training programmes nearly 2000 women from all over the country are been trained in fibre handicrafts.Thus Fibre handicraft was spread all over the country.As we look back we could see the development has taken places in families of our artisans.
