AchieveMents: Abhinaya Darpan is a society of young theatre artists and working for promotion & preservation of Art & Culture in Himachal Pradesh from last 10 years. The objective of this group is to build the world of culture, where a healthy exchange of thoughts and media is provided to foster the human qualities to achieve lofty ideals of world peace, development and cultural harmony. With an experience of theatre workshop in the year 2001-2003 by Sangeet Natak Academy, we have made progress, particularly in the area of plays “ Ek aur Inquilab” and “Aaj Itwaar hai”, “Do Zaviye” & “Kabab mein Haddi” in 2003 “Bhagwat Ajjukam” in 2004. On the occasion of the World Theatre Day “ Jungle naama” in 2005 and “Oedipus the Rex” in 2006. A special mime production of the play “Psycho” & “Rang Nagri” was staged in 2006 at Indian Mime Theatre, Kolkata. A play “Kafan” was also presented on the birth anniversary of the great hindi writer Munshi Premchand ji in 2008. In 2009 performed folk theatre KARYALA at Kurukshetra University in a festival organized by SNA. “Men without Shadows” in 2010 at Gaiety Theatre in a festival titled “RANG PRATIBHA”. “Shanivaar ke do baje” written by Laxmi Narayan lal &”Thunianama” a folk play staged in 2011 written by LATE Sh. Himesh Rattan. “Chitra” in 2012 written by Rabindranath Tagore ji in collaboration with Art, Language & Culture Dept. H.P. and with collaboration of North Zone Culture Centre, Patiala. “Swan Song” by Anton Chekov directed by Sh. Deven Joshi ji in Him Rang Mahotsav in 2012. “Aadi Raat k Baad” and “REFUND” written by Fritz Karinthy in 2013. “Ravi Paar” written by Gulzar & “Aashad Ka Ek Din” by Mohan Rakesh and directed by Sh. Deven Joshi ji in 2014. “30 days of September” written by Mahesh Dattani & “Bade Bhai Sahab” by Munshi Premchand in 2015. Society also participated in various theatre festivals across the nation.
