AchieveMents: ALAKENDU BODH NIKETAN RESIDENTIAL (ABNR), the pioneer and first residential institute, are non profitable NGO, was launched in the year 1977, under the initiative of late Dr Bimalendu Narayan Roy founder director, recipient of National award and many distinguished awards.
ABNR aims at creating and strengthening rights based special education programme which helps to create community awareness and mainstreaming of the differently abled children. The organization develops and implements highest quality programmes, initiatives and services to achieve its mission.

Special school for Mentally Challenged (boys & Girls).
Vocational training for Mentally Challenged Adults (18 years & onwards).
Training Course in Special Education viz. D. ED. SE (MR) under RCI & Manipal University.

In spite of that ABNR celebrating social integration programme, play and cultural activities and many festivals along with World Disabled Day and National Day for Mentally Challenged.
