AchieveMents: The Asavari Repertory group is credited with many path-breaking works, whether they were sensitive portrayals of social issues or whether they were explorations of rhythmic dimensions in terms of sound-scapes and emotional-scapes! The Asavary Repertory group mesmerized audiences at home and abroad. Asavari has organized a number of prestigious music and dance Festivals featuring stalwarts in the field of classical performing. It also holds an annual Festival ‘LalitArpan’ that has been promoting young and talented classical artistes with stupendous success. The Festivals that have seen the Asavari group mesmerizing the audience include Kathak Mahotsavas at Delhi, Calcutta, Lucknow to name a few, Bindadin Mahotasava, Kalka Mahotsava, Khajuraho, Lucknow Mahotsava, Badrinath Festival, Magh Festival at Allahabad, Ganga Mahotsava at Benaras (Varanasi), Durga Puja Festivals and Dussehra Festivals at Patna, Pune Festival, Ganesha Festival, Tourism Festivals of Delhi Tourism, India Tourism, Tamilnadu Tourism etc, Qutab Festival, Surya festivals at Trivandrum, Konark Festival at Konark (Orissa), Modehra Sun Temple Festival (Gujarat), Brindaban Festival, Patiala Heritage Festival, Commonwealth Games Baton Unveiling, Earth Day, to name a few including tours abroad to China, Japan, USA, Middle East, South East Asia etc. Detailed training in technical skills and abhinaya in the field of Kathak has been an ongoing process. The various activities of Asavari that have included presentation of young soloists, group choreographies and ballets, have earned rave reviews. They have clearly shown the seriousness and depth in which training is being imparted to all. Asavari continues to be at the forefront in the effort to preserve and promote Indian arts and heritage throughout the world. Not only have these efforts provided the traditional Indian performing arts a modern interpretation and relevance, given them a global perspective but have also produced a large number of highly talented and committed artistes who have done the nation proud in International Festivals and countries such as the U.S.A., U.K., Germany, and East European Countries.
