AchieveMents: As a network of public intellectuals, focused on issues of public affairs, Centre for Public Affairs has been making ideational contribution through its research, conferences and publications as well as individual publications of the members of the network. CPA’s major contributions have been in the areas of public institutions – political parties, Indian Parliament, federalism, police, voluntary sector – and political and social processes – elections, uniform civil code and personal law, public security, terrorism, urbanisation, public private partnership. The members of the network have contributed in the media on issues relating electoral reforms, juridical reforms, political reforms, public security system reforms and educational reforms. The CPA has 14 publications from reputed publishing houses, three more publications are in process. With a study of Smart Cities on its editing desk, CPA is looking forward to examine more urban related issues. An earlier study of Urban Villages of Delhi is being enlarged to study Urban Villages in the NCR. Their upgradation with requisite infrastructure would be crucial to the Smart City projects currently underway.
