AchieveMents: DGAS has conducted ABC programs, animal rescues, mobile treatments and veterinary camps in Kalimpong and Darjeeling and outlying villages since at least 1998 and also has animal shelters in Kalimpong & in Darjeeling. Since DGAS began functioning the health of the street dogs has improved dramatically and the dog populations have stabilized. The frequency of Rabies has reduced.
