AchieveMents: Deshopriyo Kolkata Cultural Centre was the brainchild of late Ajoy Sen and Guru Sushmita Banerjee.It began with the mission to address the cultural crisis that young struggling artists have to face.The centre provided platforms and forums for these young artists to perform.This nurtured their talent. With passage of time the centre concentrated on training students in Kathak.The centre has imparted training to over 500 students over the years.Many of its students have excelled in national examinations such as Prayag Sangeet Samiti.The students have won accolades in national and international competitions.They have won national competitions such as Akhil Bharatiya Sanskrutik Sangh,Pune Theater Movement Patiala and International Dance Olympiad in Bangkok and Dubai.
The Centre is a non profit making organisation dependant on grants and self financing from its office bearers.
