AchieveMents:  Ehsaas’ General Secretary Mrs. Shachi Singh was awarded with several awards for his contribution in the field of Child Welfare, which are given below: • ‘The National Award for Child Welfare 2014’ by Honorable President of India, Shri Pranab Mukharjee. • The Amazing Indian Award-2012 by Times Now. • HT Woman of the Year -1st Runner Up Award by the Hindustan Times Group in 2013. • Woman Achiever Award by Lucknow Management Association on March 9, 2014. • Women Achiever 2014 -Lokmat Samman by Shri Shiv Pal Yadav. • ‘Devi Award-Indian Express Managemen 2015’ by Honorable Chief Minister of U.P., Shri Akhilesh Yadav. • ‘District Administration of Lucknow’ for outstanding work in Social Work- 2016.  The unabated efforts of Ehsaas have moulded Lucknow’s Charbagh Railway Station into India’s first Child Friendly Railway Station.  Gharonda: This self supported home has been providing shelter to children in difficult circumstances since 2005. Here children have been getting an exposure of formal school education, health, nutrition, recreation, vocational training and all round personality development.  Building Association of Street Children (2003–2004) - In these initiative street children could be educated, trained and organized into an association supported by Action Aid.  UDAY: Because of this initiative the street and working children could be mainstreamed in Lucknow city supported by Action Aid in 2006.  Mission Protection: Through this program a Child Protective Environment could be generated in U.P.  Arushi – The condition of institutions in U.P. could be improved under Juvenile Justice Act. The capacity of caregivers rose to another scale by the trainings imparted to them by Ehsaas supported by UNODC from 2008 to 2009.  Ehsaas has developed a Retention Support Mechanism. This mechanism could reunify the children with their families and assured their retention. The program could make a visible change in the condition of children in 5 districts of U.P. i.e. Moradabad, Raibareilly, Sultanpur, Barabanki and Bahraich.  Railway CHILDLINE: Railway Childline in Lucknow is run by Ehsaas at both the railway stations, Northern and North Eastern Railway for receiving, rehabilitating and restoring children.  Child Friendly Model Police Station: Ehsaas initiated to create Child Friendly Police Station in 6 districts (Lucknow, Allahabad, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Ghaziabad, Allahabad and Varanasi) of U.P. with the collaboration of UNICEF, Lucknow.  The General Secretary of Ehsaas Mrs. Shachi Singh is the Convener of State level NGO Consortium on Child Protection in U.P. named ‘Children First’. The capacity of the workers of more than 50 organizations in 70 districts could be built under this consortium.  On November 20, 2008 which is celebrated as Universal Child Rights Day, U.P.’s First Children’s Parliament was held at UP Legislative Assembly at Lucknow. History was created as 70 children from different parts of U.P. participated in this Parliament.  Ms. Shachi Singh was nominated for the prestigious INTER NATIONAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM (IVLP) by the US EMBASSY and was part of a delegation of civic activists in USA in FEB 2015 from 21 countries.
