AchieveMents: Health Clubs for Children ,Teen and Youth in urban slums inTuticorin. Reduction in RTI/STI among slum population in Tuticorin . Improved in RH indicators among the Tuticorin slum. Increased utilization of health services in the government . 200 micro- credit groups women and youth in urban slums. Consumer clubs in 30 schools and colleges in Tuticorin District. About 500 women in distress and their children have availed service in short stay home in the last 5 years. Rejunvenation of traditional folkarts thro slum children and youth . Promotion ofa community based Street Play team and a Folkart Team. Peer educators trained in prevention of HIV/AIDS among slum population and risk groups such as sex workers, MSMs, injecting drug users . Initiation of intevention among IDUs in Tuticorin and Narcotic Annonymous. Promotion of community based organization among the female sexworkers. Sustained advocacy in the area of consumer and human rights thro representaion in various government bodies at district, state and national level. Established training and resource center in the area of Health, women ,child , consumer and human rights .
